What Do Mormons Believe About...
|
"Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of God the Eternal Father. He is
our Creator. He is our Teacher. He is our Savior. His atonement paid for the
sin of Adam and won victory over death, assuring resurrection and
immortality for all men.
He is all of these, but he is more. Jesus Christ is the Savior, whose
atoning sacrifice opens the door for us to be cleansed of our personal sins
so that we can be readmitted to the presence of God. He is our Redeemer."
Dallin H. Oaks, “What Think Ye of Christ?”
Ensign, Nov. 1988, 65

"As did Joseph Smith, so do we declare to the world: “We
believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated
correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.”
(A
of F 1:8.)

Precious Things,” Ensign, Aug. 1972, 2

Jesus Christ
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the
world; but that the world through him might be saved. John
3:16
"And also to
the convincing of the Jew and Gentile that JESUS is the CHRIST, the ETERNAL
GOD, manifesting himself unto all nations."
